The second season of PSL has proved to be terrific for Pakistan cricket fans. The nation saw its very own international cricket league. Pakistan has a strong cricketing legacy and continues dishing out outstanding players on the scene. The
country’s ability at throwing fast bowlers on the cricketing field is astounding. We also saw some batting bombs in the last season of PSL.
Umar Akmal of Lahore Qalandars and Ahmed Shehzad of Quetta Gladiators are the two big names amongst them. The best thing about Umar and Shehzad is that they are highly talented players. They are talented players and wow cricketers. When they are in form, they are match winners. Let’s scratch the surface and dig into their T20 career.
Umar Akmal has been a top scorer in PSL 2016 with his power hitting. He possesses talent without question, but he has to do justice with it. He started off great but is he converting it into big scores? A hardworking batsman is more prone to making runs on a consistent basis. That is where Umar must find himself. He has gone through a bad patch in his career, but he has made a comeback in T20 and what a good comeback it is. He is big guns for Lahore Qalandars, and all eyes are on him.
Ahmed Shehzad is an impressive all-rounder having a hunger and desire to score big runs. He wants to remain unbeaten and yearn to be there until the end of the innings which is the hallmark of a good batsman. The intention of staying until the end without being selfish is a trait that stands out in Ahmed Shehzad. He is a powerhouse of big hits and an exceptional player. He performed exuberantly in the first version of PSL. He turned out to be a smashing opener who hammered the opponent team ruthlessly.
Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad both are shining stars of Pakistan. They differ in their approach and technique, though. Ahmed is a terrific player and a hard-hitting opener of Quetta Gladiators. Umar Akmal is an experienced middle order batsman and has the strength of playing big shots. The trait which makes Ahmed better is his ability to stand in the crease and hitting till the end. It seems Ahmed will turn out better than Umar in the upcoming season.
