Heyyy, lovelies hope y’all doing great and had a relaxing spring break. Now that spring is going to be over soon I really want to talk about how to take care of your skin in summer. So today, I am going to share some skin care tips for the summer. There are three main skin types dry, combination and oily. So let’s start!
Dry skin: hydrate and moisturise your skin as much as possible by drinking loads of water and using a good moisturiser. Also, a toner like ”The body shop vitamin E hydrating toner” is an alcohol-free toner with protective vitamin E and moisturising wheat germ oil, which also removes traces of make-up and dirt.
Leaving skin feeling clean, supple and hydrated. Always remember to use a good sunscreen with an SPF of 30-50 max when you go out and this is for all skin types not just dry skin.

Combination skin: STOP using soaps on your delicate skin and replace it with a good face wash. Try Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser, L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Foam Wash, Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and much more.
Drink loads of water to keep your skin hydrated and supple and use a good moisturiser.
Face packs for combination skin:
- Honey + lemon juice.
- Milk + honey + lemon juice + almond oil.
- Curd + rosewater + honey.
Oily skin: Lemon juice being a natural cleanser helps in removing oil from the skin and is also effective in lightening skin tan and age spots and removing blackheads.
There is a very wrong concept that if u have oily skin you can’t use a moisturiser. In fact, you need oils and moisturisers to balance the oil your skin produce. wash your face once or twice a day but don’t over do it.
Try to use lukewarm water for cleansing oily skin, as it dissolves oil more effectively than cold water. here are some great moisturisers for oily skin.
