Crafting is the best way to kill boredom and also you come up with so many new things while you’re on it. Like today, when I was planning to do something with some tissue paper roll tubes lying spare around my house. Basically, I was thinking about making something like desk organizers and stuff but I ended up making these cute and super adorable tiny hats that I can die for. These are so tiny and so cute. They don’t cost much. These are extra easy to make and you can do a lot of things with them. You can paste them on a gift for your friends baby shower. You can hang them on your baby’s basinet. You can put it on your child’s dear doll’s head to give it a new look. And rest I leave to your imagination. 🙂
So, hello, everyone! Today I’m here with another DIY tutorial about how to make these teeny tiny cute yarn hats. Without further ado let’s get into it:
• Yarn ———————————————————————— 50 threads of 12” (different colors if you’re making a bunch of them like me or you want to mix and match)
• Cardboard Tube (tissue paper roll tubes) ———————————– 1 piece
• Ruler ———————————————————————– a small one of 6” and another one to mark the cardboard tube
• Paper Cutter
• Cutting Board
• Nail Buffer
• Cloth Cutting Scissors
Step By Step Guide:
Step 1 – Take the cardboard tube and mark at 1 inch.
Step 2 – With the help of a paper cutter, cut the tube at marked point.
Step 3 – With the help of a nail buffer, file the rough edges of the cardboard rings.
Step 4 – Now take a yarn ball of your choice of color.
Step 5 – Measure a 6” long piece of yarn and then double it like this.
Step 6 – Take a 6” long ruler and start wrapping the yarn around it. You have to wrap it over and over for about almost 50 times.
Step 7 – With the help of cloth cutting scissors cut the yarn from one side of the ruler.
Step 8 – You will have 12” long threads of yarn.
Step 9 – Take one thread and fold it in half like this;
Step 10 – Place the thread inside the ring.
Step 11 – Bring the thread towards the ring. Put the loose ends of thread through the closed end of the thread so that it may form a knot.
Step 12 – Pull the loose ends towards your left hand. Adjust the thread in the right place and pull it tightly to secure the knot.
Step 13 – Repeat the same steps, once again.
Step 14 – Keep repeating till the whole ring is covered.
Step 15 – Hold the loose ends together. With the help of a thread bind them together like this;
Step 16 – Cut the extra threads with a cloth cutting scissors.
Step 17 – Tadaaaa! Your teeny tiny yarn hats are ready to go. <yayayayay>
