Well, who doesn’t love Disney? From childhood memories to wedding goals, Disney always remained our inspiration. Disney princes gave girls real crushes even at the age of 12 and of course who didn’t love being dressed up as a Disney princess? We all were our daddy’s little princesses no doubt; be that a Cinderella, a Snow White or a Sleeping Beauty.
Growing up, Disney never left our side. Even though we developed new fantasies and got into new fandoms but Disney remained the first love, always and forever.
In today’s world of so-called “burger-culture” and the cool kids who think Pakistani dramas are not their type and they are oh-so-cool that they only watch angrezi seasons, Game of Thrones is the ultimate standard of coolness. The saying may go for them soon that “jinnay GOT nayi vekhya o jammya e nayi.” Just saying.
Well, while I was recently watching the season something struck me that what if some of these characters were in the live action Disney movies. So, I started re-imagining the GOT characters as some of the Disney characters and I just wanted to share the outcome with you guys.
Let’s begin the journey of re-imagination in no particular order:
Jaime Lannister as Flynn Rider
Anyone who is familiar with GOT knows the Kingslayer, right? Well, don’t you think he can easily pull off a Flynn
Rider? He’s cut out for it, and he has totally got the looks for it.
PS: he is the one who struck me so bad to write this article. 😀
Don’t agree? Take a closer look, please!
Robb Stark as Prince Eric
Yeah, yeah! I know, he has already played Prince Charming in the Cinderella (2015), but I guess I didn’t like him in that role as much as I’d like him to be the prince of our pretty Ariel. But now it can’t happen as you know he’s married to our Cinderella. But one can hope, right?
See? He’s got the looks. Even though he looks much hotter in his bearded look but he will slay as our sweet Prince Eric.
Gendry as Prince Philip
The bastard of Robert Baratheon seems fit to play the “once upon a dream” Prince. He is definitely charming and can surely play with a sword. Just a little “kaant chant” and he’ll give you major crush for your coming years. And yeah, he can totally swing a sword, too. Even though he is a bastard but even in GOT he is the son of the King, which makes him a prince even in rags. And maybe he can have a grown up Arya Stark as his Aurora. <wink>
Theon Greyjoy as Prince Adam aka The Beast
You know Greyjoy of Iron Islands, right? Can he pull off Prince Adam? Well, I think he can and very well. Look at the resemblance;
He’ll have to grow his hair a little or maybe a lot, but he’ll look cute as Adam. He has that vibe of negativity around him which he can shed before entering the world of castles, magic, and Belle. But wait he lives in castles already and yeah there has been some talk of magic, too, so umm just Belle then. <wink>
Renly Baratheon as Prince Florian aka The Prince
Ladies and GENTLEMEN (IYKWIM), take a moment and bask in the prettiness of this face. Isn’t he the gorgeous?
Even though I love David Nolan playing the Prince of Snow White in Once Upon A Time, yet this man right there has got the looks for him. He is charming and a prince is striving to be a king, too. My vote is for him.
Jaqen H’gar as Prince Charming
Remember that mysterious man who meets Arya on her way to the Wall and helps her by killing three men and letting her escape Harrenhal as a payback to her for saving his life? No? Here;
Okay, not an ideal introduction for him to be our Cinderella’s Prince Charming.
Okay, okay, alright! I get it. You can’t picture him to be our Prince Charming in all those long locks and stuff but hey, look:
I believe he’ll rock the Prince Charming if not as H’gar then as Tom Wlaschiha definitely. Even his names sound so sexy to hear. <googly eyes>
Ned Stark as Simba
Do I need to say more?
Tyrion Lannister aka The Imp as Abu
Alright, I don’t know why but I love the character of Tyrion. He’s cunning beyond measure and knows when and how to use others for his motives but he has a heart of gold I believe. And for me, his character matches with Abu of Aladdin a lot. Even the resemblance is uncanny:
Aren’t they cute? <awww>
Petyr Baelish as Aladdin
I don’t know what gave it away. His Arabian Night-ish looks, his profession, or his second name but HE.HAS.TO.BE.ALADDIN.
They even give the similar expressions, see;
Samwell Tarly as James P. Sullivan aka Sulley
With all his fatness, sweetness and to some extent silliness, our beloved Sam will make a perfect Sully Wully. <Overwhelming heart>
Joffrey Baratheon as Peter Pan
That little cranked up, so called, King of the Crownlands who is cruel, and self-indulged can play the boy who never grew up aka Pan.
The Peter Pan of Once Upon A Time is pretty without a doubt but look at their resemblance:
Khal Drogo as Li Shang
Okay! Now, who didn’t love that dark, mysterious, wehshi sort of a horse lord of the Dothraki people? He had the vibes to him. The darkness suited him, no doubt. Don’t agree? See for yourself:
He’ll be fit to play Mulan’s Li Shang. Well, not exactly Drogo will be playing it rather Jason Ioane from Baywatch will be playing it. He suits it definitely. Bonus for him: the three of them don’t like wearing shirts. <wink>
PS: Jason Ioane of Baywatch is GOT’s Drogo.
It was prophesized, can’t you see?
So, that was all. I guess I didn’t leave your favourite characters from GOT and Disney, both. Ahan! I left Jon Snow intentionally. Well, maybe I just like him as he is. He’s just Jon Snow. He becomes it. Maybe they can make Jon Snow a Disney character himself, now that would be something!
