A Trade offer to China, by Trump
An unexpected offer made to the Chinese President for better trade in Beijing by the least expected person, Donald Trump. The offer was made so China could support the US in confronting the rising threat from the North Koreans.
In a meeting with a Wall Street Journal’s journalist, trump hinted that he wouldn’t mind accepting a deal with China that helps them cut down on their trade deficits.
Trump told Xi that he isn’t going to allow their country’s trade deficits grow any higher. He also added that he told the Chinese president that the deficits needed to be reduced and since he is willing to address the issue with North Koreans, it’s worth the risk to have the deficits, as I normally wouldn’t on a deal like this under any other circumstance.
It sounds like this North Korea situation has really made both the Chinese & American really worried. And who wouldn’t be, after all, it could very well be war big enough to wipe out entire nations. I personally hope it doesn’t get to that.
On a different note, Trump expressed his policy for Syria does not demand Assad to step down. Instead, he says that he believe that a war-free Syria can be a reality even with Bashar al-Assad in power. His statement directly backs his UN Ambassador Niki, who said that a peaceful Syria would be hard to imagine with Assad still being in control. And Trumped, again, clarified that he would not say that it’s impossible, but Assad stays in power, then the country will still be off to a bad start.
Trump about the North Korea matter with China
Trump said that the country was in a deficit of multi-billion dollars, with every other country in the list. And that deficit has been adding on for years. But the biggest deficit is with China, and he wants to make a deal but clearly, there’s a catch to it. He says that I did say that you want to make a great deal and since China & US are clear that North Korea shouldn’t be allowed to use mass weapons of destruction, they need to work together on this.
What will happen?
Will this joint effort be enough to stop the North Korean? Will trumps offer for better trade with china actually result fruitfully? We’ll just have to wait to find out!
